SACACLI, founded on November 5, 1994, in Sacacli, San Rafael del Norte, Jinotega, began as a cooperative with 31 associates, including six women, and has since grown to 500 members. While the cooperative initiated its journey into the coffee sector in 2008 with 22 members in Pantasma, it has significantly expanded, achieving Fair Trade and Organic certifications by the 2017-2018 harvest. SACACLI stands out for its commitment to high-quality products and adheres to regulations that prioritize the protection of soil, environment, and communities. Embracing continuous monitoring and a dedication to improvement, the cooperative maintains traceability systems, sharing responsibilities across producers, the organization, and commercial clients. Beyond coffee, SACACLI is involved in the cultivation of chili, tomato, and onion, providing vital support services like savings, credit, supply, training, coffee marketing, and technical assistance to small and medium producers. We love the balanced fig and milk chocolate notes in SACACLI, and find it ideal as an immersion brew like a french press, daily drip offering, or single origin espresso.
